Galvanised Steel Power Poles

Our galvanised steel power poles (sometimes known as "A Poles") are manufactured according to the NSW Service & Installation Rules and relevant authorities. Designed to make installation and connection as simple as possible, our service poles are supplied fitted with all essential hardware and holes cut at required points. Clarke private poles are available in a variety of sizes, from 114mm OD (4") to 219mm OD (8") diameter and 6.5m to 8m in length. These service poles are able to be custom designed and manufactured to suit your individual requirements. Standard configurations of service poles are shown below

Delivery to site within Sydney Metro Area is included. This involves transport to complete pole to site on Clarke Industries truck and crane lift into pre-prepared hole (provided it is safe to do so and our truck is able to be parked sufficiently close to the hole – terms & conditions apply).

Standard Service Pole Configuration Hook, Cap and 50mm dia Hole for Consumer Mains provided at top of pole. Slot at bottom rear of pole for underground conduit entry at 800mm from bottom of pole to top of slot. Non-standard variations of service poles available - please specify by drawing.

 

Intermediate Pole Configuration Hook front and back and cap for Overhead Service Mains connection to Overhead Consumer Mains. Usually no Conduit Holes but these can be specified if required. Available in all standard pole sizes. Add "/INT" to standard pole part No when ordering.

 

Insulated Data Line Hook Extra hook electrically insulated from the power pole, for data line connection. Generally mounted 1m down from low voltage POA to maintain 600mm minimum service segregation from bottom of low voltage drip loop. Conduit entry optional, please clearly request if required. Please check with Data Service Provider whether connection of data service to low voltage service poles is acceptable.  Add "/COM" to standard pole part No. when ordering.

 

200 and 400 Amp Service Pole 1 or 2 x M16 Bolt and 200 Amp attachment brackets fitted to suit 95mm 2 4 core bunched aluminium aerial service mains. Hooded easy access configuration for ease of installation of large consumer mains.  Maximum standard length 8m. Longer poles available POA. NB: Please use care when determining size/strength rating of poles for 200 & 400 amp services. If in any doubt, please do not hesitate to ask for advice.

 

Bottom Entry Configuration Standard bottom conduit entry shown. Minimum size 60mm wide x 240mm high with radiused ends to maintain integrity of pole strength. Oversized hole provided in 200 & 400 amp poles as required. Standard hole position - on rear 800mm from bottom of pole to top of slot.  Alternate hole positions available on request - please specify. Conduit not supplied.
